In times of skills shortages and tight labour markets, recruiting and retaining workers is easier said than done. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been several initiatives to better value care work. The topic deserves a comprehensive approach going beyond wages increases. Domestic and home care operators have implemented innovative HR practices ranging from new recruitment processes and professional trainings, internal management strategies, workers’ engagements tools, well-being and mental health strategies, etc. In this regards, digital technologies are on the rise and may radically transform the industry in the coming years.
