Joseph Musgrave

Home & Community Care Ireland (HCCI)

Joseph was appointed Chief Executive of Home & Community Care Ireland (HCCI) in September 2018. Since joining HCCI, he has spearheaded the transformation of HCCI into a modern professional representative association. Membership has doubled, to 30 member organisations, with 90% of the private sector by volume of care delivered now represented by HCCI. HCCI continues to grow and is making connections globally through the Global Ageing Network (GAN) and taking on a higher profile European involvement through associate membership of EFSI. Working with stakeholders in the Irish Government and Irish health service, Joseph led the Irish home care sector through the Covid-19 pandemic. The sector kept Covid-19 prevalence extremely low and emerged with €200M in extra funding. Prior to joining HCCI, Joseph worked at a number of the world’s leading communications consultancies including Weber Shandwick and Burson-Marsteller (now known as Burson Cohn & Wolfe). In one of his proudest achievements, Joseph served as the national spokesman for the successful pro-gay marriage campaign in the United Kingdom throughout its duration from 2012 to 2013.
